Rotherham Man Faces Trial for Fatal Collision in Ingoldmells

Richard Gregory, a 57-year-old resident of Chapelfield Crescent, Rotherham, is due to face trial after entering a not guilty plea to charges of causing death by careless driving. The event that led to the charges took place on 12 August 2023. Gary Stephens, aged 63, was fatally hit by a car while he was crossing Anchor Lane in Ingoldmells, near Skegness. The plea was submitted at Lincoln Crown Court, after which Mr Gregory was granted bail. He is expected to return to court on 10 October, though an exact date for the trial has not been specified.
