The Pink Pig Farm near Scunthorpe, a valued local family play centre, has been significantly affected by an intentional act of arson. The fire broke out around 19:00 BST on a Thursday evening, entirely consuming a popular play section that has been adored by families throughout Lincolnshire. The farm’s proprietor, Sally Jackson, shared her distress upon witnessing the destruction. Thankfully, the incident didn’t result in any human or animal casualties. Four firefighting squads attended the scene of the inferno, which implicated a barn, around 30 hay bales. Owing to the dry and heated circumstances, the fire rapidly spread to a neighbouring grassy area. The teams laboured until 22:00 to fully snuff out the fire. Authorities have classified the incident as a deliberate act, and enquiries are continuing as Humberside Police take on the investigation.
