Lincolnshire County Council has confirmed that a three-week-long renovation project is on the cards for a particularly troublesome stretch of the B1202 near Market Rasen, indicating potential delays in the vicinity. A failing fragment of the B1202 Linwood Road, close to Lissington, is slated for a complete overhaul, with work set to kick off from 7.30am to 6pm on weekdays, starting Tuesday, May 6. The section of roadway will be closed from the junction towards Bleasby and Legsby up to the second Manor Farm access. Jonathan Evans, the top dog at Highways Client, stated that the three-week endeavour would involve a comprehensive rebuild of the failing ¾ mile portion of the B1202 Linwood Road, including replacing antiquated road surfaces with 2,250 tonnes of fresh construction material. In a bid to reduce future disruptions, the team will also overhaul some of the carriageway drainage and kerbs while they’re on-site. Pledging to minimise disruptions, Evans reassured residents and emergency services that access would be maintained throughout the project.
