Yesterday’s unexpected power outage in Grimsby, which left hundreds of homes and businesses in the dark, continues to plague a single customer. Districts across Freshney, Park, West Marsh, and Yarborough have all had their fair share of this unplanned electricity hiccup, as reported by Northern Powergrid’s Live Power Cuts Map. Northern Powergrid, quick to act, had promptly pinged a text to the affected residents, promising to restore power by 3:30pm, with a later revised estimate of 8pm. However, as of this morning, one persistent power problem remains. The company identified two unrelated faults within their network and stated that a solitary property is still waiting for the lights to come back on, with a new estimated resolution time of 10pm tonight (April 1). Stay tuned for live updates on this continuing saga.
