Lincolnshire’s Brick Hut: The Lego Haven Transporting Customers Back to a Simpler Time

A Lincolnshire-based husband and wife team, Kathryn and Chris Allsopp, have successfully transformed their childhood memories into a thriving business. The couple, who yearned for a return to the days of family board games and no digital distractions, have seen their venture – The Brick Hut – blossom from a humble mobile hut to a bustling High Street shop in Kirton Lindsey. The Brick Hut, which saw its beginnings during the Covid-19 pandemic, was initially a solution to the ‘mountain of Lego’ the couple had amassed. However, the business soon outgrew three mobile huts due to a surge in public interest. The shop now boasts a range of Lego sets and board games and provides a warm, inclusive environment for all ages to unwind and enjoy a game or two. Kathryn fondly recalls family game nights from her childhood and hopes to recreate this experience for her customers. The shop has seen such success that the couple are considering opening a second location. In addition to selling games, The Brick Hut also hosts regular events for families and evening sessions for adults, featuring popular games like Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragons. The Allsopps are committed to growing with the community, offering a nostalgic escape from the digital world.
