Despite accusations of attempting to twist the course of justice, Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that PC Laura Kaciulyte remains on the force, albeit in a non-operational role. Kaciulyte was slated to face the beak at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 3, but managed to dodge the date due to being on holiday. The hearing nonetheless proceeded without her. It’s claimed that Kaciulyte, 30, spun a bit of a yarn in court on 17 June 2024, giving false mitigation related to a speeding offence. The case has been bumped up to Nottingham Crown Court, with a pre-trial preparation hearing pencilled in for the morning of Thursday, May 1. Kaciulyte’s solicitor, Ms Louise Stephens, when probed about any comments on the charges, kept mum, stating: ‘Not at this stage.’ Lincolnshire Police initially posted a notice of the charge on its website at 9.05am on Wednesday, April 2, but have since confirmed Kaciulyte’s current working status to Lincolnshire Live.
