Lions Cafe Roars to Victory as Lincolnshire’s Top Spot for a Cuppa!

The diverse café scene in Lincolnshire offers an array of eateries, from cosy coffee houses to bustling brunch destinations. In a recent survey, our readers crowned their favourite local café, with five outstanding establishments shortlisted for the coveted title of Lincolnshire’s Cafe of the Year 2025. The contenders included Cunningham’s Coffee Lounge in Spilsby, Faun Café in Hemswell, Jenny’s Café in Hibaldstow, Lions Café in Sleaford, and The Ragged Apron Café in Woodhall Spa. Despite only opening its doors last year, the Lions Cafe emerged as the cream of the crop with a whopping 18,853 votes. The much-loved café, nestled on the fringes of town off the A17, is the pride and joy of Russ and Debbie Pryor. The couple transformed a piece of their own land into a culinary haven in August 2024, filling a void in the local food scene. While Russ has always been a food enthusiast, Debbie brings years of experience from working in a family-run butcher’s shop. The Lions Cafe, with its cosy ambience, outstanding chefs, and friendly front-of-house team, has won the hearts of many. Debbie expressed her delight at the recognition, attributing their success to the unwavering support from their loyal customers and dedicated staff. Russ echoed this sentiment, stating that the café’s success is rooted in their team’s commitment to making every customer feel welcome. With a range of seating options and ample car parking, Lions Cafe is open from Monday to Saturday, ready to brew your next cuppa.
