Starlight Energy, the prominent developer, is gearing up to bring an additional solar farm to the vicinity of Burton Pedwardine, near Sleaford, Lincolnshire. The proposed 42MW site could potentially supply electricity to a staggering 23,000 homes. The proposed location is on the cusp of two already established solar farms. Starlight Energy has confirmed a reduction in the project’s scale, following a consultation with the Burton Pedwardine Parish Council. The scheme now centres around a 76-hectare site, adjacent to White Cross Lane. The North Kesteven District Council (NKDC) is tasked with the decision of approving the proposal, which includes the installation of 3m-tall solar panels for a duration of four decades.
