Over 500 staff members were invigorated by a host of notable speakers at the third annual Education Conference held at Waltham Toll Bar Academy. Organised by Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust, the event delved into topics such as wellbeing, leadership, and special educational needs and disabilities. Esteemed author and keynote speaker Andy Buck applauded the event as ‘a brilliant day’ with a remarkable sense of engagement from the staff. Mr Buck emphasised that everyone, regardless of their role, is a leader and plays a crucial part in bringing out the best in those they work with. The event’s focus was on prioritising students, as highlighted by LGAT’s CEO, Martin Brown, who expressed the importance of shaping young lives and inspiring hope, passion, and a love for learning. Reflecting on the successful day, Mr Brown thanked Waltham Toll Bar Academy’s Executive Principal Phil Dickinson and his team for their hospitality. The event, according to Mr Dickinson, was a fantastic and thought-provoking occasion, underscoring the importance of collaboration and collective efforts in enhancing the educational experience for all.
