Following the devastating caravan fire in Ingoldmells, which tragically claimed the lives of Lee Baker, 48, and his young daughter Esme, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue is stepping up its efforts to reassure and support the local community and holidaymakers. The heartbreaking incident occurred at Golden Beach Holiday Park in the early hours of Saturday, April 5th, leaving residents and visitors deeply shaken. A comprehensive multi-agency investigation has since determined the fire to be accidental. Despite the fire service’s prompt response and their best attempts to control the fully-engulfed caravan fire, Lee and Esme, hailing from Nottingham, could not be saved. Dan Moss, area manager for prevention and protection at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, expresses his deepest condolences to the grieving family, acknowledging the distress caused to the community. He assures that their fire safety team and local crews will be available to provide support and address fire safety concerns during this challenging time. Further, Lincolnshire Police is continuing its investigations to gather all necessary details for the coroner’s report.
