Three individuals have been taken into custody following a significant operation against modern-day slavery and exploitation, conducted across North Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. The action, which resulted in the seizure of £70,000, also involved police officers discussing workplace rights with eight workers. Humberside Police stormed a total of six locations, a combination of residential properties and businesses, in Scunthorpe, Brigg, and Doncaster this Wednesday. Detective Sergeant Richard Kirk expressed the importance of such operations as part of a broader commitment to eradicate slavery and exploitation within local communities and raise awareness regarding these serious issues. Investigations into the matter are ongoing, with all three suspects remaining in custody.
