Cleethorpes Town FC Jubilantly Ascends to Higher Division Following Sterling 3-0 Victory

Cleethorpes Town FC has triumphantly clinched the Northern Premier League East Division title, guaranteeing their promotion following an immaculate 3-0 victory over Carlton Town. This victory sets the stage for the club’s maiden voyage into Step 3 next season, a commendable achievement a mere 13 years after their induction into the NPL system as Lincolnshire League champions. The trophy presentation is set to take place at The Linden Club on Saturday, April 19th, following their home game against Belper Town. David Simpson, the Club Secretary for Cleethorpes, expressed his delight at the club’s success. ‘Our manager Craig Rouse, who joined us just last year, has spearheaded a remarkable transformation within the team. We now boast a group of exceptionally talented players who have truly earned their stripes over the past ten months,’ said Simpson. The promotion will elevate the team to the Northern Premier League Premier Division, placing them on the third tier of the non-league pyramid and just a stone’s throw away from the National League North, where Scunthorpe United currently competes. Other notable teams in this division include FC United of Manchester, Bamber Bridge, and Whitby Town.
