The ongoing review of library services in North East Lincolnshire is turning a new page, with community library models now under consideration, particularly in Waltham. The review, which was initiated following a public survey last year, aims to understand how the public utilises the library and archive services and to incorporate their desires for future improvements. The consultation encompasses four of the borough’s five libraries, situated in Grimsby, Cleethorpes, and Waltham. North East Lincolnshire Council’s culture, heritage, and visitor economy portfolio holder, Hayden Dawkins, expressed optimism, noting the success of similar community hub models in other regions of the country.
