Farewell to Uganda: Beloved White Lion Passes at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park

A cherished resident of Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, Uganda, a 16-year-old white lion, has been laid to rest following a rapid deterioration in his health. Uganda arrived at the park alongside his brother Pascha in 2019 and promptly became a firm favourite with both visitors and staff. Steve Nichols, the park’s CEO, spoke of the team’s profound sadness at the lion’s passing, revealing that a post-mortem indicated serious problems with Uganda’s pancreas. The park, in collaboration with the University of Lincoln, will now concentrate their efforts on supporting Pascha as he adjusts to life without his lifelong companion. Nichols underlined the strong bond that existed between the sibling lions and assured that the park is fully committed to aiding Pascha during this challenging period.
