Lincolnshire’s Key Stage 2 Success: Over Half of Pupils Achieving High Standards

In the heart of Lincolnshire, our emerging scholars are making their mark. Recent findings from the 2023-2024 academic year, released on 13th March 2025, reveal a promising escalation in Key Stage 2 performance across the county. With 57% of pupils achieving the recommended standards, it’s a milestone worth acknowledging and analysing.

The data embraces 8,157 pupils throughout Lincolnshire, of which 4,613 have met the prescribed performance level. Notably, girls have surpassed boys, with 60% of girls attaining the expected standards, in comparison to 53% of boys. This pattern remains consistent across regions such as Boston and East Lindsey, where girls hold sway in educational advancement.

In an impressive turnaround, North Kesteven leads the charge with an impressive 61% of pupils achieving the expected standards, a percentage trumping the county’s average. This accomplishment is particularly striking when stacked against districts like East Lindsey and Lincoln, both standing at 53%.

For Lincolnshire’s parents and educators, these figures are more than mere statistics; they signal the efforts and tenacity of our students alongside the commitment of our schools. This upward shift in results is a tangible endorsement of the county’s concentration on education, though the gender disparity underscore avenues that require redress.

As Lincolnshire persists in fostering a flourishing educational landscape, the task remains to ascertain that all children, regardless of their gender or location, receive equal chances to excel. With sustained backing and resources, there’s strong potential to witness these numbers rise further in the future years.

Data is sourced from Lincolnshire County Council’s open datasets.
