Manhunt Launched for Fugitive Robber Sentenced in Absence

Lincolnshire Police are actively searching for 36-year-old Luke Saddington, who has been handed a 14-year sentence upon failure to attend court. Saddington, in conjunction with Simon Noble, 35, masterminded a brutal domestic intrusion in Wragby on the 5th of January 2018, during which they assaulted a couple in their late 60s. Noble, who has since been captured and given an 11-year and eight-month term, admitted involvement in the crime in court proceedings earlier this year. The couple fell prey to severe violence during the theft, with one individual hit with a baseball bat, leading to unconsciousness. Both were tied up and kept hostage whilst the felons scoured their residence, robbing them of guns, ornaments and money. The pair made their getaway using the victim’s vehicle, which was subsequently discarded in a nearby location. The suspects were intercepted by the police in a different vehicle, within which cash and a baseball bat were discovered. The search for Saddington, originally a resident of South Yorkshire, is being ramped up by police.
