Four individuals central to a ‘county lines’ drug operation in Lincolnshire have faced sentencing at Lincoln Crown Court. Alistair Renwick, 32, was the mastermind of the operation, procuring Class A drugs from Coventry and organising underlings to distribute heroin and cocaine in Skegness. Information released by Lincolnshire Police indicates that Renwick regularly sent mass text messages to drug users whenever new consignments were received from the West Midlands. Last week, Renwick joined three co-conspirators in facing sentencing. There are still five more individuals implicated in the operation who are yet to be sentenced in court this upcoming June.
The convictions follow a year-long investigation which concluded in October 2022. Renwick, who lives on Provost Road in Manby, was found guilty of conspiring to supply Class A drugs and was handed a nine-year jail term. Callum Traynor, 22, from Coventry, who was significantly involved in interstate drug transportation, was given a sentence of three years and three months following his admission of guilt.
Michael Gerrie, 44, hailing from Portsoy, Aberdeenshire, acted as a street-level dealer in Skegness. In addition to managing the drugs inventory, he participated in at least one courier journey, earning a two-year and eight-month prison sentence upon his guilty plea. Brian Parker, 50, from Worksop, another courier for the operation, received a two-year suspended sentence after confessing his involvement.
An additional five participants in the gang are due to be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court in June.
