Following a tense rooftop standoff in Grimsby, a male suspect has been taken into custody due to reports of sexual assault. The incident, which saw Humberside Police responding to an uproar on Wellington Street, occurred around 17:00 BST on Friday. Matters quickly escalated when the man took to the roof, creating a situation which prompted law enforcement officers to secure the vicinity. The deadlock ended close to 21:00, leading to the arrest of a 26-year-old male on accusations of assault, sexual assault, and deliberate strangulation. The man continues to be held in custody as investigation proceedings are ongoing.
