This past week has been a whirlwind of excitement in Lincolnshire sport, taking us through a breathtaking journey of high points and formidable challenges. Yet, the enduring spirit of togetherness and fellowship, characteristic of our community, has been outstanding, indicating that the vigour in the sporting heart of Lincolnshire remains powerful, even amidst difficulties. From martial arts to a wider range of sports, there’s been an abundance of reasons to rejoice and rally around our local heroes.
Firstly, let’s raise the roof for Grimsby’s very own karate sensation, the young William Jervis. This 17-year-old powerhouse from the Grimsby Institute is poised to represent England at the 2025 Senior European Championships. That’s correct, our William is set to stride onto the global platform in Yerevan, Armenia, this May. Co-ordinated by the World Karate Federation, the event is anticipated to be a remarkable demonstration of ability, discipline, and resolve. We’re all rooting for you, William!
