Bourne Tip Woes: Petition Sparks Call for Change

A recent outcry centred on Bourne Household Waste Recycling Centre has prompted over 300 individuals to sign a petition requesting enhancements to the facility. The centre, located on South Fen Road, has been under scrutiny due to its layout, a setup many believe is the cause of lengthy vehicle queues. Amanda Plant, the architect of the petition, termed the present situation as ‘intolerable’, pressing for alterations that would render recycling more uncomplicated. In response, Lincolnshire County Council’s Head of Waste, Chris Yorston, validated the issue and communicated endeavours were in progress to accelerate the process. Mrs. Plant, a frequent user of the centre, proposed that a more systematic traffic flow and dedicated drop-off points could considerably diminish wait times. Additionally, she put forth the idea of introducing plastic recycling at the centre as a further incentive for residents to recycle.

The Lincoln Post updated this story based on the original report from the BBC.
