The Museum of Lincolnshire Life is currently hosting a fascinating exhibition that provides an unparalleled look at Lincoln’s changing landscapes over the past hundred years. The ‘Then & Now’ exhibition, which runs until the 31st of August, contrasts vintage photographs of famous landmarks such as Lincoln Cathedral and Steep Hill with modern images of the same spots, underlining the city’s architectural growth and change.
Sarah Bone, a representative from the county council, expressed her enthusiasm about the project. She commented, “Exploring Lincolnshire’s archives and uncovering these remarkable photographs was extremely intriguing. We had the opportunity to trace the paths of the photographers who clicked these pictures more than a century ago. Certainly, recreating some images was more straightforward than others.”
