Lincolnshire Farmers Raise Their Voices in New Singing Group

Reverend Alan Robson, the Agricultural Chaplain of Lincolnshire, is launching an innovative project that uses music as a tool to unite the farming community. The Reverend is hopeful about creating a choir comprised of 20 individuals who will give a performance at a Christmas carol service in Lincoln this coming December. Drawing on humour, he noted the number of farmers who confidently claim past choir participation, hinting at the possibility of hidden musical talent within this demographic. However, this endeavour is not just about uncovering these potential melodious skills, it’s also focussed on encouraging camaraderie and positivity amidst tough circumstances. The first rehearsal for this project will take place at Bailgate Methodist Church in Lincoln at 18:30 BST on the 5th of June. Here, participants will also have the chance to help choose a name for their fledgeling group.
