Revamped Sutton on Sea Paddling Pool to Reopen After £500k Renovation

The cherished Maple Leaf Pool in Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire, is due to reopen its doors to the public this coming Saturday after undergoing considerable refurbishments. In 2023, the pool was temporarily shut down for an extensive £524,000 renovation project which included the installation of new interactive water play features. This refurbishment resulted in expenditures that surpassed the initial budget by £124,000. East Lindsey District Council has acknowledged that the extra costs were due to investments in a state-of-the-art underground filtration system and a rise in both material and labour costs. Councillor Martin Foster, portfolio holder for operational services, expressed his satisfaction about the reopening, remarking that the pool has been an integral part of Sutton on Sea’s history and he is delighted that it will be available once more for the public’s enjoyment.
