Grantham Squash & Fitness Club, located on Harlaxton Road, is in the final stages of major amendments designed to improve access. This has been made possible by a £35,000 grant given by South Kesteven District Council from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The intent behind these enhancements is to make the club more open and suitable for people from every age group and level of ability, thereby promoting both social and physical engagement within the community. David Goodridge, the Club Chairman, expressed a positive mindset about these changes, pointing out the fact that removal of any access hindrance will permit the club to organise events for the elderly and physically weak individuals, ultimately increasing community participation.
