An aged tabby cat, Buzz, who was rescued from near Selby’s Drax Power Station, now enjoys a new life in Lincolnshire. Found to be approximately 20 years old, Buzz was in a perilous health condition, nearly blind and partially deaf. The RSPCA’s branch in Goole embraced this frail feline and began a search for his new home. Now, the organisation has announced that Buzz is settling well with seasoned pet owners in Lincolnshire, who offer him the necessary care and attention.
Buzz, being equivalent to 96 human years old, has been one of the most elderly cats ever treated by the RSPCA. Medical interventions, including teeth extraction and persistent treatment for arthritis and hyperthyroidism, were required. However, Buzz’s remarkable adaptability has allowed him to thrive. His new family attests to his successful adjustment to his new home, noting his robust appetite and affinity for affection.
Having been initially registered in 2005 as a young kitten, Buzz’s history involves several rehomings, with unfortunately, no updates to his microchip information. Due to the solicitude of benefactors, around £1,355 was collected to offset his medical bills. Today, the comfort of a conservatory and the love provided by his new family in Lincolnshire are the companions of Buzz’s retirement years.
