Participants from all over Lincolnshire are preparing for the 10th annual Grimsby 10K race. An estimated 3,000 runners are anticipated to participate in the event this Sunday. As a result, certain roads in and around Grimsby are set to close in order to allow for the race to take place smoothly. The event will commence from Grimsby Town Hall at 09:00 BST and will conclude at People’s Park.
The event management has issued an apology in advance for the potential inconvenience the necessary road closures may impose. They assure local residents and visitors that normal traffic flow will be reinstated by 11:45. Confirmation has been received from the North East Lincolnshire Council that diversions and warning signs will be set into place to aid managing the expected traffic disruptions.
Residents from neighbouring towns in Lincolnshire who have plans of visiting or driving through Grimsby are strongly advised to keep these changes in mind and make appropriate travel arrangements.
