An inquiry has been initiated in the wake of the death of Corporal Rebecca Hudson, an RAF Police dog handler, at RAF Coningsby. Corporal Hudson, 32, was originally from Stourport and had been in service since 2015. Her station commander paid tribute to her as a ‘distinctly admirable individual’ known for her unwavering dedication to her dogs and colleagues alike. The regrettable incident took place on 23 May. Although the RAF has verified that the investigation is being conducted, they have suggested that it would be improper to provide additional commentary at this juncture.
