Lincoln Police Officer Charged with Dangerous Driving in City Centre Incident

A Lincolnshire police officer, PC Aodan O’Neill, stands accused of dangerous driving after a man was hit by a police car at a pedestrian crossing in Lincoln city centre. The incident, involving a Vauxhall Astra police car, took place on Broadgate on 4 November 2024. PC O’Neill, aged 27, is set to face Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. Lincolnshire Police have verified that Mr O’Neill is presently on non-operational duties as the legal proceedings unfold.
