Public Inquiry Set for North Hykeham Relief Road Plans

Plans have been put forward for the construction of the North Hykeham relief road, a development designed to link the A46 to the Lincoln Eastern Bypass. This project is seen as vital to the creation of a complete ring road network in the Lincoln area, and could significantly alleviate local traffic issues while also enhancing transport connections throughout the region.

An independent planning inspector has been assigned to oversee the public inquiry into these road plans, tasked with reviewing both the proposals and any objections raised. Parties such as landowners, who may potentially be affected by the required acquisition of land, are of principal concern.

The public inquiry is scheduled to begin on 1 July, it will be situated at Lincoln’s DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, and is expected to continue for approximately two weeks.
