Forge Point Business Park, a new business and residential initiative, is set to be a potential economy booster as part of the ambitious Lincolnshire Lakes scheme near Scunthorpe. Hargreaves Land is leading the project, which is located near junction 3 of the M180 and comes under the Lincolnshire Lakes Area Action Plan. The 77-acre employment park will house high-tech business facilities, offices, a hotel, and other retail and leisure amenities, to create a vibrant community.
As per the plans, the Lincolnshire Lakes project is set to accommodate 6,000 new homes and will feature 550 homes in the vicinity of the M181 roundabout to ensure easy access to the new employment park. The project aims to offer a variety of commercial opportunities, including freehold and leasehold design and build. The capacity for development reaches a potential 959,300 square feet, marking it as pivotal to regional economic progress.
Brady Harrison, a development surveyor at Hargreaves Land, noted that Forge Point will be a key part of one of the largest residential development initiatives in the UK. Businesses setting up at Forge Point will reap the benefits of being near a new community of over 6,000 homes and various retail and leisure facilities.
The establishment of Forge Point signifies a stride forward in North Lincolnshire’s economy and the local community by becoming a hub for business and community activities.
