Inquest Opens into Tragic Death of RAF Police Dog Handler from Cranwell

The inquiry into the unfortunate demise of Cpl Rebecca Hudson, a 32-year-old RAF Police dog handler based in Cranwell, Lincolnshire, has been initiated. The nature of her injuries were stated as analogous to those obtained from being confined between a motor vehicle and a hard vertical surface. Cpl Hudson tragically lost her life on 23 May. Postponement of the inquest has been announced by Paul Smith, the Greater Lincolnshire Coroner, as additional investigation is required from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Lincolnshire Police had earlier reported responding to an incident on 18 May at an RAF location near Tattershall Thorpe, where a 32-year-old woman was seriously wounded following an accident involving a van.
