Boston Man Pleads Guilty to Causing Wife’s Death in A16 Collision

A devastating traffic accident on the A16 between Kirton and Sutterton roundabout has lead to a Boston man pleading guilty. The morning of 4 March 2024 saw Asen Kurtev, 46, driving a Vauxhall Zafira involved in a collision with two other vehicles. The incident caused the tragic death of his wife, Sofka Mitkova, who was 39, and left five others suffering from injuries. Although initially Kurtev denied the offences of causing death by dangerous driving and four counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, he has since entered a guilty plea at Lincoln Crown Court. The sentencing is set to take place on Thursday.
