Lincolnshire residences are due to gain from a new food waste collection scheme commencing in 2026. Every household will obtain a compact indoor vessel and a larger 23-litre waste bin designated for outdoor positioning, with weekly pick-ups scheduled. New procedures are set to initiate in Lincoln areas such as West Lindsey, North Kesteven, and South Kesteven during March and April 2026. It will then progress to East Lindsey, Boston, and South Holland during the autumn season. The accumulated waste will be processed into pure biogas and organic fertiliser, simultaneously supporting local agriculture and diminishing energy use.
