Lincoln’s Olivia Clark Celebrates Euro 2025 Call-Up for Wales

Olivia Clark, the 23-year-old goalkeeper hailing from Lincoln, has received a call-up to represent Wales in the forthcoming Women’s Euro 2025, which she refers to as ‘a dream come true’. Beginning her football career in boys’ teams during primary school, Clark honed her talents at the Lincoln Centre of Excellence. She advanced through various age categories from under 10s to under 15s, subsequently playing for Nettleham Ladies FC and Bristol City Women, and currently she is a team member of Leicester City Women. At the age of 16, Clark’s journey towards the Welsh national squad initiated when she attended trials after viewing an advert on social media. Thanks to her mother’s Welsh lineage, Clark made her senior debut for Wales in 2021 and played a crucial part in their successful qualification for Euro 2025. Alan Clark, her father, has voiced immense pride for his daughter’s accomplishments. As she gets ready for the tournament, Clark aims to fully enjoy the experience without surrendering to nerves, acknowledging both her personal contribution and the national importance of her participation.
