Sleeping Pods for Homeless Approved in Skegness

East Lindsey District Council has approved the installation of four emergency accommodation pods in Skegness. These pods aim to provide safe and secure shelter for individuals who find themselves living on the streets. The self-contained units boast a toilet, wash basin, and bed, and are powered by solar energy. This initiative puts a particular emphasis on aiding those who have complex needs and have been living on the streets. It is anticipated by the council that these pods will be fully functional by the end of October, providing much-needed assistance to the local homeless community.
