Elroy Fernandes, a 31-year-old lorry driver, stands before the Lincoln Crown Court, charged with causing death by careless driving. This follows a sorrowful incident in Gainsborough that led to the death of a 94-year-old woman. The lady was utilising a walking frame to cross Lea Road when the incident occurred on 20th April 2024.
