North East Lincolnshire Council has confirmed that its complimentary cycle repair workshops, initiated in Grimsby in May, will extend until the conclusion of October. The scheme’s aim is to propel inhabitants of the area to refurbish their bicycles and utilise them on the roads. The council’s senior transport officer, Tim Gooseman, indicates the programme’s success, with a multitude of repairs undertaken from equipment adjustments and wheel truing to chain replacements and standard safety examinations. The encouragement to locals is to reserve their places prior to the workshop dates.
