Grimsby Landlord Fined for Turning Front Garden into Fridge Dump

A landlord from Grimsby, Kenneth Goudie, was recently hit with a fine nearing £1,000. The penalty ensued due to Goudie’s failure to clear his property on Buller Street of numerous fridges and other items deemed as rubbish. Despite receiving warnings from the North East Lincolnshire Council, Goudie refrained from complying with the order to eliminate the identified waste.

In his absence, the case was brought before the Grimsby Magistrates Court. Here, he was convicted with the charge of infringing the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. Councillor Ron Shepherd underpinned the council’s unyielding approach against fly-tipping when he stressed that such conduct would not be tolerated within the community.
