Frustration is growing among the Gainsborough residents due to the delay in the opening of the Scotter Ward at John Coupland Hospital. The £4.5 million ward, which was completed in November 2024, remains unused eight months after its finalisation. It was initially expected to commence patient services soon after its completion.
However, the Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group has attributed the delay to mandatory building surveys and essential adjustment work.
