A Lincoln Magistrates’ Court is due to hear the case of a 29-year-old woman from Huttoft, who is facing charges following a fatal car accident close to Sutton on Sea. The accident, which occurred in October 2023, involved the death of two young children, aged six and eight, and caused serious injuries to several others.
The woman, Amy Sheppard of Mumby Road, is charged with causing death by careless driving and causing severe injury by careless driving. The incident reportedly took place when the car containing the children collided with another vehicle. Another passenger in the same car was injured, and three individuals in the second vehicle sustained significant injuries.
The woman’s court hearing has been provisionally scheduled for 28 August.
