Nottinghamshire Man Charged Following Incident at Summer Camp Near Lincolnshire Border

A Nottinghamshire man aged 76 years old has been accused of child cruelty offences following an incident at a summer camp near the border between Lincolnshire and Leicestershire where eight children and an adult had to seek medical attention. The event transpired at Stathern Lodge, Stathern, a site in close proximity to Grantham, initiating alarm amongst local inhabitants. Leicestershire Police instigated an inquiry post the admission of the group to the hospital last Monday and all have been discharged henceforth. It is now the Independent Office for Police Conduct’s (IOPC) responsibility to scrutinise how the police managed the case. The accused, Jon Ruben, a resident of Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, is faced with three instances of deliberately mistreating a child.
