Harvey Emmingham, a 23-year-old e-bike rider, has received a prison sentence of two years and six months following his involvement in a stabbing event in Gainsborough. The incident took place during the early hours of 18 February, on Trinity Street. The victim of the attack, an acquainted man in his 40s, was stabbed in the back by Emmingham as he rode by.
As narrated, the victim was strolling with his significant other while Emmingham persistently passed by, issuing threats. In spite of their attempts to sidestep him, Emmingham reappeared and committed the assault on a pedestrian path by Dickenson Terrace. On their arrival at 00:36 BST, the police found the victim with a stab wound. In order to gather evidence, the police liaised with the West Lindsey District Council, which resulted in Emmingham’s arrest.
The trial took place at the Lincoln Crown Court, where Emmingham currently of Rotherham, pleaded guilty to causing serious bodily harm as well as possession of a knife within a public area.
