Residents living in and around Scunthorpe will soon have the chance to gain advice on living healthier lifestyles at a public event. The Fit4Life event, which will take place at Scunthorpe General Hospital’s Robert Holme Hall on Church Lane, is scheduled for 18 August. The event will run from 11:00 to 14:00 BST.
Attendees can learn about the effects of diet, alcohol consumption, and smoking on their health. The event will also offer cancer screenings and vaccination services. Lyn Simpson, the acting group chief executive of NHS Humber Health Partnership, has stated that the purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for community members to engage directly with health professionals about any health-related concerns they may have.
