Grimsby Town have enhanced their squad by welcoming forward Jude Soonsup-Bell, signed to a one-year contract. The 21-year-old, recently disconnected from Spanish club Cordoba, carries extensive experience from his tenure at leading clubs such as Chelsea and Tottenham. Initiation into his professional journey started with Chelsea, where he debuted in the Carabao Cup against Brentford. Alongside this, Soonsup-Bell represented England at varying levels from Under-15 to U19. He spent time with Tottenham’s U21s, then transitioned to the Spanish Segunda Division, but was let go after a loan spell in the third division.
David Artell, Grimsby’s manager, articulated his pleasure in acquiring Soonsup-Bell, characterising him as an electrifying talent that will increase competitiveness amongst the forwards. Grimsby have kicked off their League Two campaign on a high note, amassing four points from two matches and scoring six goals. Their next match is against Shrewsbury Town in the Carabao Cup at Blundell Park on Tuesday evening.
