The A1031, a vital coastal route in Lincolnshire, has been temporarily shut for urgent repairs following significant cracks appearing. These have been attributed to recent dry weather conditions. The extent of the damage spans about 100 metres, with cracks measuring up to 50mm wide. Jonathan Evans, a member of Lincolnshire County Council’s highways team, corroborated the incident. In the interim, drivers have been given advice to take a diversion, utilising the A16 around Louth and the B1200 through Manby.
