Title: Boston Dancing Witches Unveil Charity Calendar
A Boston-based group, affectionately named the Boston Dancing Witches, have unveiled an audacious charity calendar with the aim of championing self-love and body positivity. Their 2026 calendar features members of the group, which was established in 2024, in innovative poses with objects such as crystal balls, spell books, brooms, and wizard’s hats. The initiative mirrors the concept from the renowned film, Calendar Girls, but with a whimsical twist.
The group, founded and led by 64-year old Boston local Ros Reynolds, comprises 14 witches, two wizards, and a multitude of supporters who operate quietly in the background.
Ros Reynolds expressed that the groundwork for the group was based on her deep-seated interest in witchcraft, coupled with a simple Facebook post inviting others to get involved. “We meet every Thursday evening to chat, create, savour cake, and dance. Our members range from age 12 to 88, though only adults are featured in the calendar,” she elucidated. “We’re akin to a family of ordinary individuals whose goal is to encourage unique self-expression among others.”
The Boston Dancing Witches have taken their unique talents to various events such as village fairs, children’s parties, and care homes. They’ve even staged flash mobs, busting moves to a medley of songs ranging from rock ‘n’ roll to Halloween-themed melodies. The proceeds from their charity calendar are intended to support Lincs Ark Animal Welfare and the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, two causes that the group holds dear.
