A Grantham local, Dario Spencer, has received a prison sentence that will last three years and nine months following his conviction for selling cocaine from his partner’s apartment in Lincoln. The man, aged 32, was detained during an early morning search by police at Walnut Place, Lincoln. This operation was based on information and was part of a larger effort to clamp down on cocaine circulation in the area. Spencer confessed to supplying Class A drugs from 15 July to 29 November, as well as planning to distribute more. The court was informed that Spencer was found in possession of over 17 grams of cocaine and cash worth £2,080. His defence emphasised his minor role within the larger drug network and highlighted that his earnings primarily funded his own drug dependency along with his partner’s. Despite recognising Spencer’s battles with depression, Recorder Luke Blackburn stressed the misdemeanor’s seriousness which necessitated a jail sentence.
