Grimsby’s Unseen Arts, known for cultivating creative community spirit, is set to undergo a significant revamp. Based in the historic Kasbah area of the harbour on Auckland Road, Unseen Arts has successfully procured grants totaling close to £600,000. These will be utilised to fund its plans of renovation and enlargement.
Under the revitalisation plans, the inclusion of a visual arts studio with ceramics amenities, an arts café, event space, and an expanded performance studio features prominently. Co-founders Lynsey Wells and Natasha Morley, expressing their enthusiasm over securing the grants, affirmed it would commence ‘the transformation of our historic residence’ and critically ensure the building emerges as ‘safe, watertight and prepared for usage’.
The impending refurbishment is poised to enhance the cultural backdrop of Grimsby and create a dynamic epicentre for artistic ingenuity.
