Residents and commuters in Lincoln have been informed that a section of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass will be under overnight maintenance this coming Thursday. The stretch of the A15 bypass, a critical component for maintaining local traffic flow, will be closed from 19:00 BST until 06:00 the next morning. This closure will take place between the Wragby Road roundabout and the Sleaford Road roundabout.
In an announcement from the Lincolnshire County Council, it has been made known that diversions will be put in place during this time. These measures are put into place in order to carry out essential tasks such as grass cutting, weed removal, sign cleaning, and drain clearing.
Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways at the council, highlighted these works as being crucial for upkeeping road safety. The public has been thanked for their patience and cooperation throughout the course of the temporary closure.
