Dog owners in Lincolnshire have reason to celebrate as the East Lindsey District Council has expanded access for dog walking on some of the county’s favourite beaches. The council has posted new signs to inform the public of the revised rules. Adjustments have been made to dog exclusion zones to coincide with Blue Flag areas on Sutton on Sea, Skegness, and Mablethorpe beaches. This adaptation follows a renewed Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) which restricts canine access in specified beach areas from the 1st of May to the 30th of September. This arrangement is reported to stay in effect until 2027. Beach visitors are reminded that failure to comply with these restrictions could result in fines as high as £1,000.
